Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the blueberries, 1 cup sugar, 1/4 cup flour, and lemon juice. Pour this mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining 1 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in the milk until just combined to form a thick batter.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the batter evenly over the blueberry mixture in the baking dish.
  7. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
