Description
Spicy jalapeno peppers filled with a creamy seafood mixture and baked until golden.

- 12 large jalapeno peppers
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces cooked imitation crab meat, flaked
- 4 ounces cooked shrimp, chopped
- 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the jalapeno peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. Rinse the pepper halves under cold water.
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, flaked crab meat, chopped shrimp, Monterey Jack cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
- Spoon the seafood mixture evenly into the jalapeno pepper halves.
- Sprinkle the tops of the filled peppers with bread crumbs.
- Place the poppers on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the topping is golden brown.
Notes
- For less heat, remove all seeds and white membrane from the jalapenos.
- You can substitute real crab or other cooked seafood for the imitation crab.
