- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.75 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
- Stir in the cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper into the skillet mixture. Cook until heated through.
- Add the uncooked macaroni to the beef mixture and stir well to combine.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top. Bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can substitute cream of celery soup for cream of mushroom soup if you prefer.
- For a richer flavor, use sharp cheddar cheese.
