Description

A simple recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich filled with cream cheese and spicy jalapenos.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 2 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 jalapeno slices, pickled

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Flip bread slices over. Spread cream cheese evenly on the unbuttered side of both slices.
  3. Layer cheddar cheese slices on one slice of bread. Top with jalapeno slices.
  4. Place the second slice of bread on top, butter-side out.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet and slice in half.

Notes

  • Use fresh jalapenos instead of pickled for more heat.
  • You can substitute Monterey Jack cheese for cheddar.
