A simple and delicious honey sesame chicken recipe.

- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds, toasted
- 2 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
- Add chicken pieces and toss to coat. Let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add marinated chicken (reserving marinade) and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour the reserved marinade into the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
- Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
- Stir in toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions.
- Serve immediately over rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Ensure your sesame seeds are toasted for the best flavor.
