Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels. Season generously with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  3. Add steak cubes in a single layer, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Sear for 2-3 minutes per side until a deep brown crust forms. Work in batches if necessary.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet.
  5. As the butter melts, tilt the pan and spoon the garlic butter over the steak for 1-2 minutes until steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Remove steak from skillet and let rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
