Description
A simple recipe for creamy chicken pasta flavored with garlic and Parmesan cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 pound pasta (fettuccine or penne recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let it burn.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Add the cooked pasta. Toss everything together until the pasta and chicken are coated with the sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, simmer for a few extra minutes before adding the cheese.
- You can substitute half-and-half for heavy cream for a lighter sauce, but the texture will be thinner.
