A simple baked casserole using croissants, eggs, and cheese for a satisfying breakfast.

- 8 large croissants, torn into pieces
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Arrange the torn croissant pieces evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the croissants.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, dry mustard powder, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants and cheese.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
- Remove the plastic wrap and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the casserole is set and lightly golden brown.
- Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use half-and-half instead of milk.
- You can add cooked, crumbled sausage or bacon before baking.
