A simple, rich dessert made from cream, chocolate, and orange flavor.
Ingredients

- 500 ml heavy cream
- 100 g dark chocolate, chopped
- 50 g granulated sugar
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 tablespoon fresh orange juice
Instructions
- Pour the cream and sugar into a saucepan. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the cream just begins to simmer. Do not boil.
- Remove the cream mixture from the heat. Add the chopped dark chocolate and let it sit for 5 minutes to melt.
- Whisk the mixture until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
- Stir in the orange zest and orange juice.
- Pour the posset mixture into four small serving ramekins or glasses.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or until firmly set.
Notes
- For a stronger orange flavor, you can steep the orange zest in the cream for 30 minutes before heating.
- Serve chilled, perhaps with a small piece of candied orange peel on top.
