Description

A recipe for making classic pancakes with chocolate chips mixed in.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk milk, egg, and melted butter in a separate bowl.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
  6. Pour or scoop batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.
  7. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For fluffier pancakes, let the batter rest for 5 minutes before cooking.
  • You can substitute buttermilk for regular milk for a tangier flavor.
