Description

A simple recipe for a classic chicken Caesar sandwich.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 4 tablespoons Caesar dressing
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook chicken breasts for 6-8 minutes per side, until fully cooked (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C).
  4. Remove chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the chicken thinly.
  5. Toast the sourdough bread slices.
  6. Spread 1 tablespoon of Caesar dressing on each slice of toast.
  7. Layer the sliced chicken, chopped romaine lettuce, and grated Parmesan cheese onto two slices of bread.
  8. Top with the remaining bread slices to form two sandwiches.

Notes

  • You can grill the chicken instead of pan-frying it.
  • Use store-bought or homemade Caesar dressing.
