Description
Simple crescent rolls filled with a sweet blueberry and cream cheese mixture, baked until golden.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 cup blueberry pie filling
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon coarse sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth. Mix in the egg yolk and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough. Separate the dough into 8 triangles.
- Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture onto the wide end of each triangle. Top the cream cheese with about 1 tablespoon of blueberry pie filling.
- Roll each triangle up tightly, starting from the wide end and rolling toward the point. Place the crescents seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and coarse sugar. Brush the tops of the crescents with the milk mixture.
- Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute frozen blueberries mixed with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of sugar for the pie filling.
- For a richer flavor, use full-fat cream cheese.
