Description
A rich cheesecake recipe featuring a bacon crust, creamy filling, and a sweet caramel topping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup crumbled cooked bacon
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 cup crumbled bacon, melted butter, and 1 tablespoon sugar. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan.
- Bake the crust for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
- Beat the softened cream cheese and 1 1/2 cups sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in the vanilla extract.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Do not overmix.
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
- Bake for 45 to 55 minutes, or until the center is almost set.
- Turn off the oven, prop the door open slightly, and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.
- Remove the cheesecake from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Before serving, drizzle the top with caramel sauce and sprinkle with chopped bacon.
Notes
- For a smoother caramel topping, warm the sauce slightly before drizzling.
- Use thick-cut bacon for the best texture in the crust and topping.
