- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup finely diced apple
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the diced apple, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake.
- Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown on the other side.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Serve with maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar.
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best texture.
