Simple recipe for making crispy crab cakes using an air fryer.

- 1 pound lump crab meat
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs, plus more for coating
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Gently pick through the crab meat to remove any shell pieces.
- In a medium bowl, mix the mayonnaise, egg, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, and 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
- Gently fold the crab meat and parsley into the mixture.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about 1 inch thick.
- Place additional panko breadcrumbs on a plate. Lightly coat each crab cake with the extra breadcrumbs.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius).
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the crab cakes in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they do not touch.
- Spray the tops of the crab cakes lightly with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and heated through.
Notes
- Serve immediately with lemon wedges or your preferred sauce.
- If your crab meat is very wet, drain it gently before mixing.
