Description

A simple and delicious pot roast recipe cooked on your Traeger grill.


Ingredients

  • 1 (3-4 pound) chuck roast
  • 1 packet dry ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet dry au jus gravy mix
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat your Traeger grill to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Place the chuck roast in a cast-iron Dutch oven or a foil pan.
  3. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning mix and au jus gravy mix evenly over the roast.
  4. Place the butter on top of the roast.
  5. Pour the beef broth around the roast.
  6. Cover the Dutch oven or foil pan tightly with foil or a lid.
  7. Place the Dutch oven or pan on the Traeger grill.
  8. Cook for 8-10 hours, or until the roast is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
  9. Shred the roast and serve with the pan juices.

Notes

  • You can add chopped onions or carrots to the Dutch oven for extra flavor.
