Description

A simple recipe for a grilled cheese sandwich made with pesto.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 tablespoons pesto
  • 2 slices cheese (like provolone or mozzarella)
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Flip the bread slices over. Spread pesto on the unbuttered side of both slices.
  3. Place cheese slices between the two bread slices, with the pesto sides facing the cheese.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Place the sandwich in the skillet. Grill for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Remove from skillet and slice in half.

Notes

  • Use your preferred type of cheese for different flavor profiles.
