Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 1/2 cup prepared basil pesto
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
  2. Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
  3. Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Brush the tops of the salmon fillets with olive oil.
  5. Spread an even layer of pesto over the top of each fillet.
  6. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use fresh or frozen salmon; thaw frozen salmon completely before baking.
  • If the pesto is very thick, you can thin it slightly with 1 teaspoon of water or lemon juice.
