Description
Simple recipe for individual turkey meat loaves using a savory glaze instead of ketchup.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- For the Glaze: 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard, 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, bread crumbs, milk, chopped onion, egg, parsley, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix gently until just combined; do not overmix.
- Divide the mixture evenly among the muffin cups, forming small loaves.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and apple cider vinegar for the glaze.
- Brush the top of each meat loaf with the glaze mixture.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Let the meat loaves rest in the tin for 5 minutes before carefully removing them.
Notes
- You can substitute plain yogurt for milk if desired.
- For a different flavor, use smoked paprika in the meat mixture.
- If you do not have a muffin tin, form the mixture into small free-standing loaves on a baking sheet.
