Description
A rich and creamy pasta dish featuring smoked cream cheese for a unique flavor.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound pasta
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces smoked cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain, reserving about 1 cup of pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add softened cream cheese and smoked cream cheese to the skillet. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Whisk in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Cook, stirring, until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat evenly.
- If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
- You can substitute smoked gouda for the smoked cream cheese if needed.
