Description
A simple and delicious mango crumble recipe perfect for a tropical dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups ripe mangoes, peeled and diced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon lime juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cut into cubes
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced mangoes, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lime juice. Toss gently to coat the mangoes evenly. Pour this mixture into an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry blender to cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the mango mixture in the baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the mango filling is bubbly.
- Let the crumble cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an extra treat.
- You can add a pinch of cardamom to the crumble topping for a more complex flavor.
