A sweet and spicy Chex mix perfect for snacking.
Ingredients

- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 6 cups Chex cereal (rice, corn, or wheat)
- 2 cups pretzels
- 1 cup mixed nuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C).
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Stir in the brown sugar, honey, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
- In a very large bowl, combine the Chex cereal, pretzels, and mixed nuts.
- Pour the hot honey mixture over the cereal mixture and stir gently to coat evenly.
- Spread the mixture in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Let the Chex mix cool completely on the baking sheet before breaking it apart.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
- Adjust the amount of hot sauce and cayenne pepper to your spice preference.
