Description
Crispy baked chicken wings coated in a homemade sweet and spicy BBQ glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sriracha or other hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and cooked through.
- While the wings are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, and smoked paprika.
- Heat the glaze over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the wings are cooked, remove them from the oven.
- In the large bowl, toss the hot wings with the prepared BBQ glaze until evenly coated.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra crispy wings, you can broil them for the last 2-3 minutes after glazing.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
