Description

A basic recipe for a graham cracker crust suitable for pies and cheesecakes.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar in a medium bowl.
  3. Pour in the melted butter and mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened.
  4. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie plate or springform pan.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before filling.

Notes

  • You can make your own crumbs by pulsing whole graham crackers in a food processor.
  • For a no-bake crust, chill the pressed crust in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes instead of baking.
