Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant; do not let it brown.
  4. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  6. Pour in the white wine or broth and let it simmer for 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  7. Stir in the lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  8. Remove from heat and toss with the chopped parsley before serving.

Notes
