Description
A simple recipe for creamy chicken pasta coated in a garlic and Parmesan sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 pound pasta (fettuccine or penne recommended)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the skillet.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let it burn.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and stir in the Parmesan cheese until the sauce is smooth.
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- You can add 1/2 cup of frozen peas or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor and color.
- If the sauce becomes too thick, add a splash more chicken broth or cream to reach your desired consistency.
