Simple recipe for green beans cooked with garlic and butter.

- 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Wash and trim the ends from the green beans.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Do not let the garlic brown.
- Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, for 5 to 7 minutes, or until the beans are tender-crisp.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute olive oil for half the butter if you prefer a lighter flavor.
- For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving.
