Description
A quick and easy shrimp scampi pasta dish with garlic and butter.
Ingredients

- 1 pound linguine
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 minute.
- Add cooked linguine, parsley, and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss to combine.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
- Serve immediately.
