Flavorful Shrimp Scampi Garlic Butter Pasta

Description

A quick and easy shrimp scampi pasta dish with garlic and butter.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound linguine
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add cooked linguine, parsley, and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss to combine.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic.
