Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  3. Add bell peppers and onion and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes until pink and cooked through.
  6. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the shrimp and vegetables. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve immediately over cooked rice.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
  • You can substitute other vegetables like broccoli, snap peas, or carrots.
