- 1 pound fresh salmon fillets, skin removed
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Place the salmon in a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground. Do not over-process.
- Transfer the ground salmon to a medium bowl.
- Add the breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, dill, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix gently with a fork until just combined.
- Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form into patties about 1 inch thick.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the salmon burgers for 4 to 5 minutes per side, until cooked through and golden brown.
Notes
- Serve the burgers on buns with your preferred toppings.
- You can substitute panko breadcrumbs for regular breadcrumbs.
- If you do not have a food processor, finely chop the salmon by hand.
