A quick and flavorful shrimp pasta dish with a zesty garlic lemon butter sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound linguine
  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook linguine according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  4. Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. Stir in parsley and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Add the drained linguine to the skillet. Toss to coat with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra richness, you can add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce.
  • Grate fresh Parmesan cheese over the pasta before serving.
