Description
A quick and flavorful shrimp pasta dish with a zesty garlic lemon butter sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound linguine
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in parsley and red pepper flakes (if using). Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the drained linguine to the skillet. Toss to coat with the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra richness, you can add a splash of heavy cream to the sauce.
- Grate fresh Parmesan cheese over the pasta before serving.
