Description
A quick and flavorful pasta dish with shrimp, lemon, and garlic.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound linguine
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 cup dry white wine
- 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook linguine according to package directions. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in white wine and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2 minutes.
- Stir in butter until melted. Return shrimp to the skillet.
- Add drained linguine and chopped parsley to the skillet. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if needed to create a sauce.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a richer sauce, you can add a splash of heavy cream.
- If you don’t have white wine, you can use chicken or vegetable broth.
