- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine panko breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
- In another shallow dish, place the flour.
- In a third shallow dish, place the beaten eggs.
- Dredge each shrimp first in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat about 1 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Carefully add shrimp to the hot oil in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.
- Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add garlic powder or paprika to the panko mixture.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like cocktail sauce or sriracha mayo.
