Description

A recipe for cooking tender country style pork ribs.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 lbs country style pork ribs
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
  3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over all surfaces of the pork ribs.
  4. Place the seasoned ribs in a large baking dish.
  5. Pour the apple cider vinegar and water around the ribs in the baking dish.
  6. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  7. Bake for 2 hours.
  8. Remove the foil and brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.
  9. Return the uncovered ribs to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the sauce is slightly caramelized.
  10. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute brown sugar for paprika in the spice rub for a sweeter flavor.
  • For extra tender ribs, cook them low and slow in a slow cooker after the initial oven bake.
