  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
  4. Add chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Pour in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and water. Stir to combine.
