- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup crushed crackers (optional topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess fat.
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked beef and onion, cream of mushroom soup, milk, frozen vegetables, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- If using, top with crushed crackers.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, substitute cream of mushroom soup with cream of celery soup.
- You can use any combination of frozen vegetables you prefer.
