- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 pint fresh blueberries
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
Instructions
- Press the pre-made pie crust into a pie plate. Bake according to package directions until golden brown. Let cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
- Spread the cream cheese filling evenly into the cooled pie crust.
- Arrange the blueberries on the top left portion of the pie to represent the blue field of the flag.
- Arrange the sliced strawberries in rows across the remaining portion of the pie to represent the red and white stripes.
- Chill the pie for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- For a firmer filling, you can add 1 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin dissolved in 2 tablespoons of cold water to the cream cheese mixture before folding in the whipped cream.
- Ensure your fruit is dry before placing it on the pie to prevent excess moisture.
