Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon almond extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup cake batter mix (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the whole milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and salt until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until very cold.
  3. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the rainbow sprinkles and cake batter mix, if using.
  5. Transfer the soft ice cream to an airtight container.
  6. Freeze for 2 to 4 hours to firm up before serving.
