Description
A simple recipe for pork tenderloin roasted with a balsamic glaze.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pork tenderloin (about 1 to 1.5 pounds)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and minced garlic. Set aside.
- Pat the pork tenderloin dry with paper towels. Rub the entire surface with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place the pork tenderloin in a roasting pan or oven-safe skillet.
- Brush half of the balsamic mixture over the top and sides of the pork.
- Roast for 20 minutes.
- Remove the pork from the oven and brush with the remaining balsamic mixture.
- Return to the oven and roast for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit is reached.
- Remove the pork from the oven, tent loosely with foil, and let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
Notes
- You can use honey instead of brown sugar for the glaze.
- If the glaze thickens too much while resting, add a teaspoon of water to thin it slightly before serving.
