Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease an 8×8 inch baking dish.
- Peel, core, and slice the apples into 1/4 inch pieces. Place them in a large bowl.
- Toss the apple slices with lemon juice, 1/4 cup granulated sugar, and cinnamon. Spread the apple mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and rolled oats for the topping.
- Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Let the crumble cool slightly before serving.
