Description
A recipe for cooking small whole chickens, Cornish hens, in an air fryer for crispy skin and moist meat.

- 2 Cornish hens
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
Instructions
- Pat the Cornish hens dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and thyme.
- Rub the oil mixture evenly over the skin of both hens.
- Place one Cornish hen in the air fryer basket, ensuring it does not touch the sides.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 25 minutes.
- Flip the hen carefully.
- Air fry for another 15 to 20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part of the thigh.
- Remove the hen and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Repeat the process with the second hen.
Notes
- For extra flavor, stuff the cavity with a lemon half and a few sprigs of rosemary before seasoning.
- Check the temperature with a meat thermometer to confirm doneness.
