Air Fryer Avocado Fries

Description

Crispy avocado fries made quickly in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 2 ripe but firm avocados
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Cut the avocados into thick fry shapes, about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes. Place flour in the first dish.
  3. Place the beaten eggs in the second dish.
  4. Mix the panko breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper in the third dish.
  5. Dredge each avocado fry first in the flour, shaking off excess.
  6. Dip the floured fry into the egg mixture, letting excess drip off.
  7. Coat the egg-dipped fry thoroughly in the breadcrumb mixture.
  8. Place the coated fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches.
  9. Lightly spray the tops of the fries with cooking spray.
  10. Air fry at 380F (195C) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crisp.
  11. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve these fries with a lime wedge or your preferred dipping sauce.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for best crisping results.
